On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Toronto Police officers from 32 Division will be running a distracted-driving educational traffic-safety campaign at Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue.
The purpose of the campaign is to increase awareness of the dangers of distracted driving.
All drivers are reminded to obey all rules of the road and ensure compliance with the recent Ontario of Court Appeal ruling which states that merely holding a handheld communication device while driving is illegal.
