On Friday, August 10, 2018, at 12 p.m., at the Circle K Store located at 3075 Danforth Avenue, members of Toronto Police 55 Division and the Auxiliary Program will join Toronto Crime Stoppers and its partners at Circle K Stores to dedicate a mural to the Danforth community as part of the successful StreetART Mural Program.

The media and the community are invited to attend and see the completed mural in a reveal celebration, with a pizza lunch being provided by Circle K.

This is not the first time Circle K has completed a mural like this in Toronto. In 2012, after gun violence took the lives of several youth in Rexdale, Circle K collaborated with Toronto Crime Stoppers, officers from 23 Division and the Thistletown community to complete a similar StreetART project.

The Circle K StreetART Mural initiative works to create strategic partnerships in an effort to help prevent crime and strengthen community relationships, while working diligently towards a community-based shared responsibility. Engaging the community, especially the youth, will only empower them to develop a stronger ability to make a positive difference.

Successful murals have been completed in partnership with numerous police services across Ontario and Alberta.
