On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at approximately 9:10 p.m., a woman was assaulted in the Jarvis Street and Maitland Street area.
It is alleged that:
- a 25-year-old woman was walking eastbound on Maitland Street when a man approached her from behind, put his arm around her neck, and pulled her to the ground
- the woman managed to escape and sought assistance at a nearby apartment building
- the man continued to follow her to the building, then left the area
He is described as having a light-tanned complexion, approximately 35, 5'7"-5'11", 170-185 lbs., with short brown hair, medium-to-large build, and a handlebar-style moustache. He was wearing dark pants, a black hoodie with a white "R" on the front left chest area, and white lettering on the left arm which possibly says "MAKERS."
