The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware on an ongoing gas leak in the area of Eglinton Avenue East/Bellamy Road.

Enbridge Gas Distribution is on site monitoring the situation and working to repair the leak. Enbridge Gas advises that Natural gas is currently venting safely into the atmosphere. Please follow @enbridgegasnews on Twitter for updates and online at Enbridge Gas Distribution

As a result of the leak, transportation along the Lakeshore East line has been interrupted causing congestion. We ask that those using the rail lines to commute check with your provider for travel options.

GO Train service on the Lakeshore East line is suspended between Union Station and Pickering GO due to an investigation of a gas leak near the Eglinton GO Station.

Train service continues to operate between Pickering and Oshawa.

Please see GO Transit websit for travel options. Also follow @GOtransit on twitter.

Vehicles parked in the north lot of the Eglinton GO Station
will not be able to be accessed at this time. Please speak with GO Transit staff on site who are assisting customers to their destinations.

Currently Bellamy Road is close from Eglinton Avenue East to Trudelle Street.

TTC buses are being diverted around the area.
