The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public that an arrest has been made in connection with a human-trafficking and prostitution-related investigation, which started on Friday, August 23, 2013.
As a result of this investigation, on Friday, September 6, 2013, an arrest warrant was issued for Ronald Bharath, 24, of Toronto.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, Bharath was arrested and charged with:
1) Procuring a Person to Become a Prostitute
2) Living on the Avails of Prostitution
3) Exercise Control
4) Trafficking in Persons
5) Receiving Material Benefit
6) Withhold or Destroy Documents
7) Three charges of Assault with Weapon
8) Forcible Confinement
9) Assault
10) Criminal Harassment
11) Threatening Death
12) Threatening Damage
13) Fail to comply Recognizance
14) Three charges of Fail to comply with Probation
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 10 a.m.
Police believe there may be more victims.
