One man arrested in downtown shooting, Another man sought, Dellan McMorris, 23, Photograph of sought man released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance locating a man wanted in connection with a shooting in the downtown core.

On Sunday, August 4, 2013, at 4 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Richmond Street West and Peter Street.

It is alleged that:

- two men attended the area, each armed with a semi-automatic firearm

- the men both discharged their respective firearms

- investigators subsequently located and seized those firearms

Aiman Khiar, 24, of Toronto, was arrested on Sunday, August 4, 2013, and charged with multiple firearm-related offences including discharge firearm endanger life. His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Old City Hall in room 111.

A warrant in the first has been issued for the arrest of the other man allegedly involved. He has been identified as Dellan McMorris, 23. McMorris is believed to be staying in the Greater Toronto Area.

He is described as black, 5'9", 169 lbs, with a skinny build. He has braided black hair and brown eyes.

McMorris is believed to be armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach him. Call 9-1-1.
