On Tuesday, July 24, 2012, police arrested a man in connection with a child-pornography investigation.
It is alleged that:
- between Friday, May 18, 2011 and Wednesday, July 11, 2012, the accused possessed child pornography at his home in Toronto

Further to the ongoing investigation, the Toronto Police Service sought the approval of the Attorney General to lay further charges. Permission was granted to lay charges in connection with offences allegedly committed while the accused was in Cuba.
On Friday, March 8, 2013, James McTurk, 78, of Toronto, was further charged with:
1) Make child pornography,
2) six counts of Sexual interference,
3) Invitation to sexual touching,
4) Indecent act
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, March 18, 2013, at 10 a.m.
It is alleged that these charges relate to offences between June 2011 and July 2012.
This is the first time that the Toronto Police Service has laid Sex Tourism charges.
