The Toronto Police Service is appealing to the community for witnesses to a fail-to-remain collision.
On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 1:28 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Jane Street, north of King Street.
It is reported that:
- a driver of a vehicle was northbound on Jane Street, in the centre turn lane, north of King Street,
- a woman, 76, was attempting to cross Jane Street, north of King Street,
- as the vehicle was northbound on Jane Street, the woman was struck,
- the driver and vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision, and were last seen northbound on Jane Street,
The woman received serious injuries and was transported to hospital.
Police are requesting the assistance of the public in locating the involved driver and vehicle. The vehicle is described as a white sedan. The vehicle may have sustained damage to the front area of the vehicle as a result of the collision.
