The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in an Arson investigation.
On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at 12:29 a.m., officers responded to a call for a fire in the Yonge Street and Belsize Drive area.
It is alleged that:
- a man made threats to cause a fire and harm some pets
- he set fire to the apartment, causing the death of some pets
- he then barricaded himself inside the apartment
Bradley Oliver, 34, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Arson Having Disregard for Human Life
2) Arson Causing Property Damage
3) Uttering Threats to Cause Property Damage
4) Uttering Threats to Harm Animals
5) Kill, Maim or Wound Animals
6) Mischief Over $5000
7) Assault
He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 2 p.m., room 501.
