On Monday, February 19, 2018, the Toronto Police Service requested assistance identifying a man wanted in an investigation into a Threat.
It was alleged that:
- on Sunday, February 18, 2018, between 10 p.m., and 11 p.m., a man was a passenger on a commuter train travelling into Toronto
- at that time, the man uttered a threat to a train staff member, which caused the staff member to be concerned for his safety and that of the public
- the staff member notified police

It is further alleged that:
- the man has been identified as Edgar Martinez, 30, of no fixed address.
