Man, 52, charged in series of Robbery investigations, Facing 11 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a series of Robbery investigations.

On Monday, July 31, 2017, at 12:20 p.m., officers responded to a call for a hold up in the Yonge Street and Wellesley Street area.

It is alleged that:

- a man entered a bank

- he handed the teller a note indicating he was armed with a gun

- he demanded a specific amount of cash

- no weapon was seen and he fled empty-handed

Between August 20, 2017 and September 13, 2017, officers responded to four calls for robberies in the Parliament Street and Carlton Street area.

It is further alleged that:

- a man entered various stores armed with a knife

- the stores were robbed of cash and the man fled

On Friday, December 8, 2017, Anthony Little, 52, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) five counts of Robbery with a Weapon
2) five counts of Disguise with Intent
3) Weapons Dangerous

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, December 9, 2017, 9 a.m., room 101.
