On Friday, August 23, 2013, at 7:05 a.m., police responded to a personal injury collision on Dupont Street, west of Dufferin Street.
It is reported that:
- a 19-year-old man was riding a bicycle eastbound on Dupont Street and attempted to cross the street, from the south side to the north side, mid-block
- as the cyclist was crossing the road, he entered the passing lane of eastbound Dupont Street where he was struck by a 2007 Jeep Wrangler, operated by a 43-year-old man
The cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
