The Metropolitan Toronto Police Pensioners 2013 Memorial Bicycle Ride, Sunday, August 25, 2013

On Sunday, August 25, 2013, the Metropolitan Toronto Police Pensioners Association will be organizing the 1st Annual Metropolitan Toronto Police Pensioners 2013 Memorial Bicycle Ride in Toronto. This bicycle ride is meant to commemorate the memory of those officers of the Toronto Police Service who have lost their lives in the performance of their duties.

The Memorial Ride will form up at the Toronto Police Association Building, at 180 Yorkland Boulevard at 8 a.m., and will proceed over the following route:

- North on Yorkland Boulevard to
- West on Sheppard Avenue East over DVP - lead vehicle support
- South on Parkway Forest Drive
- West on Don Mills Boulevard and south over 401
- East and South onto Fenelon Drive to the Memorial Underpass Gate
- South onto Roywood/Lynedock Cr on pathway
- East onto York Mills Road
- South onto Fenside Drive
- East onto Brookbanks Drive through Cassandra Park
- East onto Cassandra Boulevard to
- South onto Westford Gardens into Rowena Park (unpaved path)
- East and South onto Castlegrove Boulevard
- East on Clintwood Gate
- South onto Victoria Park (water station) south to past Lawrence Avenue East
- West onto Sloane Avenue

The Memorial Ride Route Continued:

- East onto Elvaston Drive- cross Victoria Park Ave to east side
- South and East- Hydro R.O.W. continue east through Wexford Park to Warden Avenue
- N/W & North- Wayne Ave across Lawrence Avenue East
- West- Brian Avenue
- North- Elinor Avenue
- South and West -Murray Glen Drive
- North on Pharmacy Avenue over RR bridge to Maryvale Park (Washrooms)
- North and East- Exit park onto Archwood Crescent
- North and East- Dewey Drive
- North Across Ellesmere Road
- North onto Crocus Drive
- West onto the pathway between 148 and 150 Crocus
- North onto Cavehill Cresent
- West onto pathway between 30 and 32 Cavehill Cresent into Terraview Park
- West and South onto Alrita Cresent
- West onto Terraview Boulevard
- North onto Victoria Park Avenue over 401
- West onto Consumers Road
- West onto Yorkland Boulevard
Finish- 180 Yorkland Boulevard, at 11 a.m.

Bicycle traffic will be restricted to the curb lane whenever on the roadways.
ALL H.T.A.-related traffic signals, signs and directions will be obeyed.
The ride will be separated into manageable packs with marshals leading and following.
