Theft Under $5000 and Assault investigation, Victoria Park Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East area

The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public in regards to an ongoing theft under $5000 and assault investigation.

On Monday, November 13, 2017, at approximately 3:50 p.m., police received a call for a theft and assault in the Victoria Park Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East area area.

It is reported that:

- a man entered a store inquiring about purchasing a Nintendo Switch gaming console

- while speaking to the cashier, he attempted to take the console and run out of the store

- the cashier attempted to stop the man and he punched her, knocking her to the ground

- he was seen running in the parking lot possibly towards the bus stop

He is described as 25-35 years old, 6', with a skinny build, wearing a black jacket with a poppy, black pants, black Adidas shoes and a black toque.
