The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a series of Theft From Auto investigations.
It is reported that:
- there has been a series of early morning theft from autos in the south-central area of 43 Division
- two males were breaking into automobiles and stealing contents within them
- this area is consists of Lawrence Avenue East to the North; Lake Ontario to the South; Bellamy Road South to the West; Morningside Avenue to the East
Tuesday, November 14, 2017, Ryleigh Stockhill, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested. He was charged with:
1) Prowl by Night
2) Possession of Burglary Tool
3) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
4) two counts of Fail to Comply Probation
5) seven counts of Mischief Under
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 10 a.m.
The second male was described as a white, with medium-length blonde hair, dressed in all black clothing.
The police are urging the public to take the following actions to help prevent further incidents:
- lock your automobiles
- ensure any valuables are either out of plain sight or not left in your automobiles
- keep your residence's exterior lights on
