Officers from 12 Division are hosting their 13th Annual Kicks for Kids Soccer Camp at the Eglinton Flats located on the northwest corner of Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West. The camp will run from Tuesday, August 20, 2013 to Thursday, August 22, 2013 between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Kicks for Kids is a free, three-day program for boys and girls aged eight to 16. This program will bring together youth and provide them with a safe and positive environment to connect with each other and police.
Police Constable David Michaud has organized the program this year and will be assisted by other officers from 12 Division, including Constable Ken McCreight who initiated the program in 2002.
"Kicks for Kids" is funded by ProAction Cops & Kids, a charity that provides projects and activities, initiated and run by police officers, which engage youth at risk. Our goal is to build trust and mutual respect between cops and youth, helping kids at risk before they become kids in trouble
