On Saturday, August 10, 2013, police arrested a man in connection with a theft investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 3 a.m., a cyclist was struck by a car in the Oxford Street and Spadina Avenue area
- the cyclist was thrown to the ground
- the cyclist's property was in her bag, located on the ground, close to where she was lying in a semi-conscious state
- the accused grabbed the bag and began rummaging through it
- the accused then took the victim's cellphone and fled the area
Fred Munroe, 36, of no fixed address, has been charged with:
1) Theft under
2) Fail to Comply with Probation.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Sunday, August 11, 2013, room 101, at 10 a.m.
