Alaa Farrag, 57, arrested in ongoing Sexual Assault investigation, Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue West area, Man's photograph released

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- between Monday, July 24, 2017 and Monday, August 21, 2017, a 43-year-old woman was followed by a man in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue West area

- the man then sexually assaulted the woman

On Monday, August 21, 2017, Alaa Farrag, 57, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) two counts of Sexual Assault
2) Criminal Harassment

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 10 a.m.
