Public Safety Alert, Kennedy Road and Lawrence Avenue East area, Kidnapping/Robbery investigation

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Kidnapping and Robbery investigation.

On Wednesday August 17, 2017 at 11:30 a.m., police responded to a radio call in the Kennedy Road and Lawrence Avenue East area.

It is reported that:

- two men approached a 63-year-old man and coerced him into their car

- the two men each had a handgun

- the men drove the man to three banks and demanded he withdraw money

- the man cooperated and the men were given a quantity of cash

- the men were last seen in the Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road area

The first man is described as white, 40, 5'10"-6'0", clean-shaven, wearing black pants, light-colored button-up shirt, grey fedora hat.

The second man is described as brown, 60, 5'11"-6'0", 180 lbs., clean-shaven, short brown hair, wearing a light-coloured short-sleeved button-up shirt, light-green pants, black shoes.

The handguns were described as small and black. The men were last seen driving in a dark-colored four-door sedan.
