The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an ongoing Voyeurism/Mischief investigation.
On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 3:16 p.m., officers responded to a call for a suspicious incident at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
It is alleged that:
- a 27-year-old woman was walking up the stairs
- she was followed very closely by a man acting strangely
- she noticed the man's phone was recording
It is further alleged that:
- at 5:43 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was walking up the same stairs
- she was followed closely by a man acting strangely
- the man was seen pointing his phone up her skirt with the camera light on
- officers located the man and arrested him
Brent Atkins, 46, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) two counts of Voyeurism
2) two counts of Mischief - Interfere with Property
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, September 21, 2017, 10 a.m., room 301.
