Victim sought in assault investigation, Witnesses hold man for police, Kyle Gratmyre, 29, charged with assault

On Saturday, August 10, 2013, at approximately 10:20 p.m., a woman was walking in the Bloor Street East/Parliament Street area when she was attacked by a man.

It is alleged that:

- the man grabbed the woman and dragged her into a grassy area on the north side of Bloor Street East

- passers-by heard the woman's screams and came to her assistance

- the man was held, then arrested by police

The woman ran off before officers could speak to her.

Police are concerned for the woman's health and are asking her to call 9-1-1 for any medical assistance, and so that further charges might be laid.

Kyle Grantmyre, 29, of Mississauga, has been charged with:

1) Assault

He is described as white, 5'5", 150 lbs., unshaven, with messy brown hair.

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, Sunday, August 11, 2013, 9 a.m., courtroom 101.
