Two men face 11 charges in shooting incident, 510 King Street West

On Friday, August 9, 2013 at 2:09 a.m., police received a call for a shooting at the Cobra nightclub, at 501 King Street West.

It is alleged that:

- a dispute between a group of men took place inside the Cobra nightclub

- during the incident, shots were fired, injuring one of the men

Two men have been arrested and charged.

Abdiweli Abdi, 25, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Assault with Weapon
2. Weapons Dangerous

Mohamed Salim, 28, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Pointing a Firearm
2. Attempt Murder
3. Discharge Firearm Endanger Life
4. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
5. Unauthorized Possession Firearm
6. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
7. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
8. two counts of Breach of Recognizance

Both men appeared in court at Old City Hall on Friday, August 9, 2013.
