Police request assistance in personal injury collision, McCowan Road at Steeles Avenue East

On Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 10:26 a.m., police responded to a personal injury collision at McCowan Road at Steeles Avenue East.

It is reported that:

- a 50-year-old woman was driving a 2007 Lexus SUV southbound on McCowan Road, in the passing lane, crossing Steeles Avenue East

- a 72-year-old man was crossing McCowan Road from the west side to the east side, on the south side of Steeles Avenue East, in the pedestrian crossover, against a red light

- the SUV struck the man

The man suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
