On Sunday, July 28, 2013, at 12:01 a.m., police responded to a personal injury collision at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue East at Don Mills Road.
It is reported that:
- a 44-year-old man, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Sheppard Avenue East, approaching Don Mills Road
- a 83-year-old woman, attempted to cross Sheppard Avenue East, from the north side to the south side, just west of Don Mills Road, outside of the crosswalk
- the woman was struck by the SUV and was taken to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday, July 28, 2013, at 5 a.m., the woman succumbed to her injuries.
