The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an ongoing theft investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11 p.m., a woman, 28, tied her dog to a bench outside a fast-food restaurant in the Bloor Street East and Sherbourne Street area and later realized it had been stolen

On Sunday, April 23, 2017, at 6:48 a.m. a man found a dog, later identified as Kobe, tied to a pole in the Selby Street and Sherbourne Street area and called police.
- police attended and returned the dog to his owner
- the dog was healthy and in good spirits
The suspect from the initial theft has not yet been identified.
