On Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 2:30 a.m., the Toronto Police Service began an investigation into a discharged firearm from 55 Nugget Avenue.
It is alleged that:
- a man attended an event at this location and discharged a firearm in the parking lot
- numerous people were outside and ran from the location
- the man then left the area before police arrived
- on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, a man was arrested by police and officers located a .32 calibre revolver and ammunition
- during the subsequent search warrant, officers located another handgun, a 9mm semi-automatic and a quantity of cocaine
Christopher Clarke, 39; Tajsha McIntosh, 20; and Shantai McLennon, 24; all of Toronto, were arrested and charged with:
1) Possess prohibited firearm
2) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
3) Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
4) Weapons dangerous
5) Careless storage of a firearm
6) Careless storage of ammunition
7) Possess prohibited firearm
8) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
9) Possession of a loaded firearm
10) Careless storage of a firearm
11) Careless storage of ammunition
12) Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
13) Possession of Schedule I substance
Christopher Clarke, 39, was additionally charged with:
1) Possess weapon dangerous to public peace
2) Possess loaded regulated firearm
3) Discharge firearm being reckless as to the life or safety of another person
4) Carry concealed weapon
5) Possess firearm while prohibited
6) Two counts of Possess firearm while prohibited
7) Two counts of Possess ammunition while prohibited
All appeared in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, April 13, 2017, 10 a.m., room 103.
