Homicide #49/2016, Kiesingar Gunn, 26, Reward extended on anniversary of his death

A $50,000 reward leading to the conviction of Kiesingar Gunn's killer has been extended on the anniversary of his death.

The Chief of Police has approved the extension of the existing reward in place and it will now continue until September 11, 2021.

Up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer, or killers, responsible for the death of the 26-year-old from Toronto.

On Sunday, September 11, 2016, at 4:04 a.m., the Toronto Police Service responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Liberty Street and Mowat Avenue.


It is reported that:

- Kiesingar Gunn, 26, of Toronto, was in the area when shots were fired

- he was stuck by a bullet and taken to hospital in a serious condition

- he succumbed to his injuries just before midnight on Sunday, September 11, 2016

- investigators do not believe he was the intended target of the shooting


Security camera video was released at the time in a bid for witnesses to come forward.

An artist's rendition of the suspect was also released to try and identify them. He is described as 18-22 years old, black, dark complexion, 5'11"-6', slim build, braided hair (possibly cornrows). He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, with a black print or logo on it.

Investigators are hoping that by extending this reward again it might provide an incentive for those with information to come forward to police.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.

On Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 1:42 p.m. officers responded to a shooting in the St. Clair Avenue and Mould Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- officers arrived on scene and located a man suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot

- paramedics attempted life-saving measures

- the man succumbed to his injuries

The deceased has been identified as Andre Rodriguez, 26, of Toronto.

Homicide investigators are appealing to anyone who knows Andre Rodriguez, and has been in contact with him over the past week, to contact police.

Anyone who was driving in the area of St. Clair Avenue and Mould Avenue at 1 p.m - 2 p.m., on Thursday, September 10, 2020, with a dashcam, is also asked to contact police to obtain the video from their car.

Fatal Rail Collision, Weston Road and Black Creek Drive area,

The Toronto Police Service is appealing to the public to help identify a woman who died in a rail collision.

On Monday, September 7, 2020, just before 6 a.m., police received a report of a collision in the Weston Road and Black Creek Drive area.

It is reported that:

- a UP Express train was travelling east at this location and struck a woman who was on the rail line

- the woman was killed as a result of the impact with the train

- the operator stopped the train and an investigation commenced

- efforts to identify the woman have been unsuccessful at this point

Police are releasing the following information about the woman to help identify her:

The woman is a black adult female, with a heart shaped tattoo on her right shoulder area. A photo of a similar tattoo is attached.

Man Wanted, Break and Enter investigation, Spadina Avenue and Queen Street West area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a wanted man.

On Monday, September 7, 2020, at 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a Break and Enter call at business in the Spadina Avenue and Queen Street West area.

It is alleged that:

- a man forced the door open and entered the premise

- the man was confronted by a staff member and quickly fled the area

It is further alleged that:

- later the same evening, the same man returned at approximately 11:30 p.m. and forced the same door open

- he entered the premise and stole several items


Marco Pelosco, of Toronto, is wanted for

1. Break and Enter with Intent
2. Break and Enter Commit
3. five counts of Fail to Comply Probation

Anyone who recognizes Marco, or has any information about his whereabouts, is urged to contact police.

Identity of two suspects sought in stabbing investigation, O'Keefe Lane and Shuter Street area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying two suspects as part of a stabbing investigation.

On Friday, August 28, 2020, at about 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing in the O'Keefe Lane and Shuter Street area.

It is reported that:

- three men were involved in a physical altercation

- two men then began assaulting the 25-year-old victim with a weapon

- he received serious injuries

The suspects are described as:

1) Man, black, early 20s, red polo shirt, black jeans, beige Gucci shoes, and a black baseball cap

2) Man, black, early 20s, blue hooded sweat shirt with lightening bolts, torn blue jeans, black shoes, and a black baseball hat.

The suspects were last seen walking southbound on O'Keefe Lane towards Shuter Street.

Images and security footage (warning: graphic content) have been released in a bid to identify them.

Investigators are interested in speaking with several females who were in the area during the stabbing and likely witnessed the incident.

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a 14 Division "Fugitive Friday" investigation.

On Thursday, September 10, 2020, Raajiv Rajadurai, 34, was arrested.

He has been charged with:

1. Sexual Assault
2. Two counts of Forcible Confinement
3. Assault with a Weapon
4. Eight counts of Assault
5. Theft Under $5,000
6. Uttering Threats
7. Fail to Attend Court

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, September 11, 2020, at 10 a.m., courtoom 101.

Police Seek to Identify and Locate Woman, Keele Street and Wilson Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating and identifying a woman.

Police believe the woman's name is Tammy, 27 years-old. She was last seen on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 2:30 a.m., in the area of Keele Street and Wilson Avenue.

She is described as 5'7", 150 to 165 lbs., with a medium build, and long black hair. Police believe her name is Tammy.

She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with "Michael Kors" on the left sleeve, black tights, black slippers, and a blue mask. She was carrying a grey backpack.

Officers are concerned for her well-being and are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying and locating the woman.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.

Francesco Forgione, 83, was last seen on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 11 a.m., in the Weston Road and Bradstock Road area.

He is described as 5'9"-5'10", medium build, short grey hair, and brown eyes.

He was last seen driving a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado black pick up truck, with Ontario licence plate AA32986.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Personal Injury Collision Fail to Remain #31/2020, Dundas Street East and Parliament Street

On Saturday September 12, 2020, at 2:50 a.m., police received a report of a fail to remain collision involving a pedestrian at Dundas Street East and Parliament Street, in the City of Toronto.

It is reported that:

- a 52-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Dundas Street East, from the north side to the south side on Parliament Street.

- he was crossing with a group and was the last one crossing, when an eastbound vehicle crossed into the westbound lanes striking the victim.

- he received life-threatening injuries as a result of this collision.

- the vehicle, a grey Honda Civic, failed to remain at the collision scene and fled eastbound on Dundas Street East

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Man wanted in stabbing investigation, Richmond Street West and Brant Street area, Cyrus Alaei, 22

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a man wanted in a stabbing investigation.

On Sunday, September 13, 2020, at 12:03 a.m. officers responded to a call for a stabbing in Richmond Street West and Brant Street area.

It is reported that:

- two men were in the area of Richmond Street West and Brant Street

- a verbal confrontation ensued

- one of the men stabbed the other man and fled the area on foot

Cyrus Alaei, 22, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Aggravated assault
2) Assault with a weapon
3) Fail to comply with release order

He is described as 5'2" and medium build. He was last seen wearing a black toque and black hooded sweatshirt.

He is considered violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach, call 9-1-1 immediately.

He will appear in court at College Park Court on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, room 505.

Missing Man Located, Neilson Road and Military Trail area, Derrick Fairman, 82

Homicide #52/2020, Mohamed-Aslim Zafis, 58, Rexdale Boulevard and Kipling Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.

On Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 8:40 p.m., officers responded to an Unknown Trouble call in the Rexdale Boulevard and Kipling Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a man was working as a volunteer caretaker for the IMO Mosque

- the man was sitting in a chair outside the front doors controlling access to the Mosque to comply with health regulations

- the suspect approached the area and stabbed the man once

- witnesses called 9-1-1, and emergency services attended

- the man was pronounced deceased at the scene

The deceased has been identified as Mohamed-Aslim Zafis, 58, of Toronto.

Homicide investigators are appealing to the public for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward with that information. Investigators are also looking for cell phone images, dash-camera footage, and security video in the area.

Security footage of the suspect has been released.

Homicide #50/2020 and 51/2020, Joao Barcelos, 64 Iva Barcelos, 59 19 King George Road

The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on a homicide investigation.

On Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 2:33 pm officers from 12 Division attended 19 King George Road, Toronto for multiple reports of a stabbing.

It is reported:

- once on scene, officers located a man (victim #1) suffering from multiple stab wounds on the street out front of 19 King George Road

- a woman (victim#2) was located inside the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds

- both victims were pronounced deceased by emergency personnel at the scene

They have been identified as Joao Barcelos, 64, and Iva Barcelos, 59. They were married to each other at the time of this incident.

It is further reported that:

- officers also received information that a man had been struck by the Union Pearson express train a short distance away from 19 King George Road

- the man was found deceased with significant injuries

He has been identified as Tiberio Barcelos, 28, and is the son of victim #1 and victim #2 from 19 King George Road.

At this time, investigators believe that Tiberio Barcelos is a suspect in the murders of victim #1 and victim #2.

Tiberio did not reside at 19 King George Road at the time of this incident.

Investigators continue to urge the public to come forward with any information about the whereabouts of Tiberio Barcelos prior to the homicide.

The post mortem examinations for the two homicide victims and the suspect are scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2020.
